Almost a page written
Ack. Talk about not getting anywhere fast. Still, some writing is better than none.

Website Black Backgrounds are BAD!
Authors who have black/dark backgrounds on their websites should really check out this thread:
http://www.kindleboards.com/index.php/topic,55210.0/topicseen.html
Many people have trouble reading on sites with black backgrounds, many don't even go to those sites (authors, you are losing traffic), and some pros have stated it is a web design no-no.
Thanks,
Mark

Book Truths?
A Fistful of Charms by Kim Harrison. There was one section that sort of ... I don't know, just stood out.
There's a part where a vampire, Ivy, is talking to the main character, Rachel, about Rachel herself.
Ivy, "You're a threat, and you need the same." meaning that Rachel is powerful and looks for threatening situations. Ivy continues, "That's why you joined the I.S., and even there you didn't fit in, because, knowing it or not, you were a possible threat to everyone around you. People sense it on some level. I see it all the time. The dangerous are attracted by the lure of an equal, and the weak are afraid. Then they avoid you, or go out of their way to make your life miserable so you'll leave and they can continue deluding themselves that they're safe."
I wonder how true that actually is. The part about weak people either avoiding or making life miserable?

Nana korobi - Ya oki
七転び八起き
Seven falls - Eight getting up.
Perseverance. No matter how many times you get knocked down, you get up one more time. Not easy.

Quality TV
Watched a Carol Burnett show. One of the skits was Jowls with Tim Conway and Harvey Korman. Hilarious. Modern TV shows just can't compare.

Latest Review for Power Play
4 out of 5 stars.
I really enjoyed this story and the take on vampires, were-wolfs, and the other beings. I liked Arek and wish I had a friend like that. I do think the main character was a little cliche'd but she still was awesome. Maybe it was just because a man wrote her. I also felt the ending was a little sudden. All in all a good read.
